March puzzle answers
Nine kids got all March Math Mania
puzzlers correct
Nine of the kids who entered the March Math Mania
"order of operations" contest got all six puzzlers correct.
That's a pretty good showing when considering this was the
first time Ms. Math Mania had used this particular format.
Those who got all six questions correct included:
Jenn Miller of St. Louis; Laura Kratcha of
Clayton; Hannah Bledsoe of St. Louis; Isaac Ilivicky
of Clayton; Mengzhen Yin of Clayton; Rachel Han
of Clayton; Ryan Wahidi of Creve Coeur; Adam Luxon
of Clayton, and Noah Eby of Clayton.
With this many all-correct entries, Young Saint Louis.com
again will award four $10 Borders gift certificates after
a random selection from among the winning entries.
Getting the certificates this month are Laura Kratcha,
Isaac Ilivicky, Jenn Miller and Noah Eby.
For the April Math Mania, math teacher Amy
Ruzicka of St. Gabriel's School, has decided to test your
ability to visualize math patterns. There are no calculations,
just figuring math patterns look.
