Eleven-year-old Jordan Lewis has been only into archery for two years. But, the Fenton girl already has had a high finish in a national tournament and is looking forward to a world competition.

Kids last month took part in a summer camp that studied efforts to help wild wolves escape extinction. But, many of the kids thought their search along a nearby creek was the most fun.

Fourteen-year-old Cruz Riley has been attending the Gifted Resource Council's ECOAcademy every summer since he finished kindergarten. He likes the combination of learning about ecology and how to run a business.

Colten Conroy of Labadie, MO, continued to add honors even after his record of accomplishments had earned him a 2009 Gateway Young Achievers of the Year award.
