November puzzle answers
Lots of perfect scores in November Math
Mania
Ms. Math Mania's puzzles for November were
much more to your liking. After no one got the October puzzles
correct, there were 22 kids who answered all November's Sudoku
brainteasers correctly.
We predicted the November questions would be easier than
October. And that turned out to be true.
Maybe it's because a lot of you have been doing Sudoku puzzles,
which appear in lots of places these days.
Ms. Math Mania is Amy Ruzicka, a math teacher
at St. Gabriel's School in south St. Louis.
Because there were so many correct answers, Young Saint
Louis.com is going to increase the number of Borders book
certificates awarded. Usually, we give either three or four
$10 certificates.
But, with 22 entries with all the answers correct, YSL.com
will award five Borders certificates. To pick the certificate
winners, we put all correct entries into a bunch and randomly
picked five.
Those kids who got all the Sudoku puzzles correct were:
Emma Ehll-Welpley, Albert Faust, Richard Hollacher, Jisong
Kahng, Alma Kordic, Chandler Kropp, Christopher Lamb, Stephanie
Langendoerffer, Joshua Lee, Addison Leong, Nichole McMullin,
Anirt Michelson, Danielle Sikora, Chris Sleckman, Samuel Stern,
Mike Sperkoush, Shun Tamatsu, Madeline Tippe, Liz Xing, Ryan
Wahidi, Aryan Yadama and Noah Youkilis.
The winners of the Borders certificate drawing were:
Emma Ehll-Welpley, Alma Kordic, Christopher Lamb, Chris
Sleckman and Ryan Wahidi.
