Ten
winners in "Show-me a Movie" competition
Ten
kid movie-making teams from eight St. Louis area schools won
first place in the first annual "Show-me a Movie" contest,
sponsored by the Cooperating School Districts.
There were two winners in the elementary school division
and four each in the middle school and high school competitions.
The contest was billed as a "digital storytelling competition."
The Parkway Southwest Middle School had two winners as did
the Washington (Mo.) High School.
All the winning teams will show their movies at the Midwest
Education Technology Conference, scheduled for St. Louis early
in February.
(In November, 2004, Young Saint Louis.com did an
advance story on the Show Me competition. It featured the
kids at Iveland Elementary School, who ended up a winner with
their "Harlan the Great" movie. To read that earlier story,
