February contest

Sudoku puzzles are back for February

The holiday break is over and the Sudoku puzzles are back for the February edition of Math Mania on Young Saint Louis.com.

That will give you a familiar format to have some fun with math.

Entries were down both before and after the holiday break. Must have had too many other things on your mind.

By this time, you should be ready for a break from regular school assignments and be ready to try your hand at Math Mania again.

There are three Sudoku panels in this month's puzzle.

Remember, fill out the blank spaces with numbers 1 through 9 in such a way that the numbers appear only once in each row, each column and each box. Enjoy!

The rules for Math Mania remain the same. Competition is open to St. Louis area kids 8 through 13.

If you get all the answers correct, you are eligible to win a $10 Border's gift certificate.

Be sure to follow the rules below, especially the one that requires entries to be postmarked by the 15th of February.

1. Print out the following entry form.
2. Fill out your name, address and telephone number. (Print clearly please)
3. Include the name of your school and math teacher.
4. Answer the questions for February.
5. Put your completed entry into a stamped, addressed envelope.
6. Be sure to print the entry form so we can be sure of spelling.
