Summer ideas from YSL.com archives

In past editions, Young Saint Louis.com has featured two St. Louis authors who have written books that tell local families about interesting places or events. Both authors have done stories for YSL.com that give their summertime favorites.

Author Ann Seebeck does an annual update of her book, "Some Favorite Places to Go in St. Louis." In May, 2001, Ann suggested a dozen places that were her favorites for summertime visits by families. To read that past article, click here.

Author Julie Douglas has published a similar book, "A Parent's Guide to St. Louis." In July, 2003, Julie made a suggestion of her favorite summertime destinations. To read that past article, click here.

Remember, these are past stories. So, before you decide to visit a destination, call ahead to see what current schedules are.

This is the first From Our Archives feature. In coming months, we will offer other suggestions of past articles that would make good reading today.

Of course, our four monthly book reviews provide you with suggestions of kids books that would still be good reading. Also, by using our link to Amazon.com, your parents could buy them online.

If you'd like to explore our archives on your own, we have included a customized Google search engine that can search our archives. Just put in key words and click search. This is yet another dimension of YSL.com to make the webzine more useful to you.

Try it and enjoy.
