A guest-written Math Mania for May

Math Mania creator Amy Ruzicka is taking advanced courses at Webster University, in addition to teaching grade school math. For the May Math Mania, she asked one of her college math professors to write a guest feature.

The May questions were created by Dr. Andrea Rothbart, a professor math at Webster.

This edition of Math Mania also will be the last for the 2005-06 school year. But, the feature will be back when the 2006-07 school year starts again in the fall.

Ms. Ruzicka again will be the author of the math feature.

She promises to have a wide variety of math puzzlers. This year, some of the monthly features were regular math questions. But, she also included "scary story" writing on math and a math cartoon feature. Last month, she asked readers to design five new Olympic events based on math.
