April puzzle answers

Two winners in April Math Mania "visual" puzzlers

Two kids got all the "visual problem solving" questions correct in the April Math Mania contest. Making sure there were no double marks in the diagonals of the visuals turned out to be difficult for many.

The two who got all the answers correct were:

Ryan Wahidi of Creve Coeur and Jackie Scharnberg of St. Louis.

Each of the winners will receive a $10 Borders gift certificate that will give them a head start on their reading list for the summer.

Ms. Math Mania, math teacher Amy Ruzicka of St. Gabriel's School, has decided to go back to a previous style of puzzle for May Math Mania test. And, the "telephone code" puzzles will be the last Math Mania for the 2006-2007 school year.

Congratulations to the two winners of the April contest.
