process in their classrooms. Then, they'll vote
on Nov. 4 in a simulated election and get to
compare their votes with adults.

pioneer ways at 2008 Prairie Day Every other year, the Shaw Nature Reserve
holds a Prairie Day celebration. That's a time
for kids and their families to learn about what
rural Missouri was like in the pioneer days.

is starting a drive they hope leads to a national
championship tournament. But, the players' path
would lead to a different kind of tournament.

tickets for the 2008 Missouri duck hunting
season. They're hoping for at least as much
luck as they had in their first duck hunting
