fall, many school kids in Missouri will get
a chance to learn more about the general election
process in their classrooms. Then, they'll vote
on Nov. 4 in a simulated election and get to
compare their votes with adults. |

Every other year, the Shaw Nature Reserve
holds a Prairie Day celebration. That's a time
for kids and their families to learn about what
rural Missouri was like in the pioneer days.

starts unique soccer "passback" program
Alex Kehm of Fenton was attending a soccer
tournament when he saw a billboard promoting a program
for collecting used soccer equipment. The items were
then donated to kids who couldn't afford to buy new.
